Alvin Brett Matteson DDS

Dr. Matteson completed his Bachelor of Science at La Sierra University. He went on to earn his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from Loma Linda University in 2006, earing awards for community service including missionary work to Central America. Upon graduation from dental school, Dr. Matteson was immediately accepted into the US Army’s “Advanced Education in Prosthodontics” program at Fort Gordon, GA. Graduating in 2010, he received an in-depth understanding of dental ceramics and cosmetic dentistry, implants, temporomandibular disorders, sleep apnea, full-mouth rehabilitations, occlusion and restorative dentistry. Loma Linda and the Army program was invaluable to Dr. Matteson’s approach to treatment. The compassion and community service coupled with a worldly view and advanced training will be applied to everyone who walks in the door of the practice. It was Dr. Matteson’s honor to treat our soldiers around the world and now the community of Coeur d’Alene and sounding areas. Dr. Matteson, wife Julianne and twin son and daughter are enjoying the lake and parks as they make Coeur d’Alene home. They welcome your recommendation for attractions as they settle.
Dr. Matteson is one of 2 board-certified prosthodontists in Idaho. To achieve this, one must successfully complete rigorous and extensive examinations by the American Board of Prosthodontics. The mission of the American Board of Prosthodontics is to certify individuals who have demonstrated special knowledge and skills in prosthodontics. The board also seeks to certify those who are committed to life-long learning and a lifetime of ethical practices, who value the doctor/ patient relationship, who respect those with philosophical, cultural or physical differences and who are committed to the advancement of prosthodontics.
